For the next Watch With Spooool series, we’re going back to some of the greatest films ever made… and the prequels that followed them!
You may have heard there’s a new Star Wars film on the way, with The Force Awakens arriving on cinema screen on December 17th. To celebrate, we’re asking you to go back to the original films.
We’re going to start as George Lucas will pretend he intended us to – by revisiting the three prequels episodes I, II and III aka The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith. Did they deserve to be panned on release like they were? We’ll be publishing this podcast in mid November and will have Ms Carol Mulligan in studio with us for her take on the trilogy.
And following that, it’s on to the that classic trilogy of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Are they as good as we’ve all been claiming, are the Ewoks really that much better than Jar Jar? We shall see. This podcast will be out in early to mid December and will feature Lisa Madden giving her thoughts after watching the films for the first time.
